Have not had it..yet!! Anyone have this?
Was gifted some from brotha Gene. Had 2 bottles and both were great. The coffee stout is amazing. Great flavors. Sip don't down it
I guess thy make three different ones this one is the regular stout!! By the guy at the counter was telling me they are hard to get he was only able to get one case...$22 for the 4 pack
Technically, this year they made 5.
The standard they make every year
2) Coffee Stout
The above brewed with coffee
Complete tastegasm... Just saying...
4) Backyard Rye
Super limited. Bombers Only. Aged on Templeton Rye barrels. I got a single bottle.
This year I believe it's Rye w/ the addition of toasted coconut. Super hyper limited. Not available outside of Chicago
Style: Imperial Stout
Brewery: Goose Island Beer Company
Color: Deep rich brown to almost jet black
Glass Ware: Tulip or Snifter
Pairing: Tat Black Lance or CG or Anejo or liga no 9. Its the perfect after dinner or dessert beer for sipping. Cellar temp is the best way to drink this but allowing this stout to warm up a bit allows for the flavors to truly come out.
I've had it and was blown away by how thick and creamy this stout is. Hints of vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate, and toffee with a slight wavering of caramel. This is truly a stout that is meant to be sipped and enjoyed slowly. I paired with a nice DPG 10th Ann but I would recommend just having this stout by it self to truly enjoy the amazing and complex flavors. I hold this Stout slightly above the Coffee Stout and just below the Barley Wine.
You must've poured that hard. I got little head on mine
Excellent this year...
Nothing wrong with getting a lil head with your beer....
I always hard pour the last bit.. Only way I'll ever get head now..
GREATNESS in a bottle!!!
Apparently they bought more warehouse space
What I would do for that Vanilla Rye and Proprietor
Cough...oh please tell us!!!
I'm pretty certain I'll get Vanilla Rye (likely a single bottle), I'm hoping I can bribe someone in the Chicago area to get me a Proprietors...
