Bulleit Bourbon is recognized for its high rye content in a bourbon at 28% and it definitely adds to its flavor. The first sip hits you with a nice warm spice. Not an overly sweet bourbon its nicely balanced, fairly smooth with a little heat on the way down. Initial nose: I picked up a slight corn and citrus/floral fragrance. At around $22-$25 a bottle its a strong value and one that I think most would enjoy adding to their cabinet.

Bottled By: Kirin Brewing Company Four Roses Distillery

    Owned by: Diageo

    Location: Lawrenceburg, KY

    Age: 6-8 years

    Alcohol content: 90 proof

    Type: Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Mashbill: 68% Corn, 28% Rye, 4% Malted Barley

I drank a bottle of Bulleit on vacation probably 6-7 years ago and had a really hard time enjoying it. That was when I was first getting in to bourbon. I've seen enough good reviews on it recently to consider trying it again. Thanks!

Give it a slow shot buddy...it can be a sweet friend or a harsh enemy.

Bulleit was the bourbon that got me into bourbon. I still enjoy it from time to time.

    I've Had That.
At the casino we often visit it's the best bourbon they carry so I always drink it when I'm up there. It's pretty good but I think there are better options at the same price point.

    I've had that.

It's one of my favorites and will always have a place in my liquor cabinet.

ImageUploadedByIve Had That1384498877.338477.jpg totally with you on this one. I was very surprised when i first tried Bulleit. As a new comer to bourbon (mostly drank scotch/single malts) i was taken aback by how smooth it was to drink and enjoy.

Just bought my first bottle. It's pretty good. I'm gonna have to try to keep it in stock.

I've had that..."frontier whiskey". Also had the rye version. Enjoy both. Drink it by a campfire and you'll feel like you're a cowboy.
