I've never tried to grow my own tobacco and I am by no means an expert. So I did a tiny bit of research on how to and got some Cuban seed tobacco from my friend Santana fro D'Crossier Cigars and I'm gonna give it a go.

I'm going to document my progress here.

Here's what I've done so far...

Bought some seed starter cups and potting soil.

Tobacco seeds are incredibly small. In fact they remind me of looking at granular yeast.

I put potting soil in my seed cups and carefully placed a few tobacco seeds on top of the soil.

I then moistened each cup with a gentle spray of water

Finally I placed my seed cups in a window that will get sun for a good portion of the day.

FYI.... my earlier pic shows my planting cups in the window. That was a mistake. The window was too hot and dried out the soil too quickly and I believe that's what slowed the process down. Once I moved my operation into a cooler place things started to happen.

After all the plants have sprouted I will start giving them some sun.

    Well....

I went to Texas to attend CATS Festival last May and I forgot to tell my wife to water my plants. Therefore.... they died. :(
