There's been some discussion about beer glasses, and their relative merits. However, I thought it'd be nice to have a "show off your glass" thread. Post pics of your favorite beer glass, what you like about it (good stories are nice), and what you like drinking out of it.

BTW, here's a great article for informationalication!

PS - Yes, I know I'm not posting a pic. I will when I get home (don't get to drink at work).

Never drank out of this tiny little thing because it just arrived today. So I can't say its my favorite, but it's a pretty glass.

Sam Adams Perfect Pint. This is my go to glass for most new bottles.

Especially good for standard ales, IPAs, wheats & lagers.

Holds a well poured 12 oz bottle with 1-2 in of foamy head.

These tulips are from two excellent Midwest breweries (Boulevard & Schlafly) are my go to for high ABV and / or barrel aged bombers.

The tulip shape really helps concentrate the aromas & flavors.

The only downside if these is that they're a little small. However, that helps you savor the beers I use these for. Go halfsies on 12 oz bottle on these.

Always have the right tool for the job. Plenty of pint glasses and for a special occasion we got the yards. 1388271524370.jpg 1388271524370.jpg

I like these two for stouts & porters. The only thing I dislike about the top one is it's nearly too large for a bottle (but is great for Full-pint cans)

Riedel O Grigot size... Technically a stemless wine glass... I'm starting to like this for barrel aged beers and / or high ABV. Tulip shape focuses aroma & it's very large... Easily fits up to a pint or more... Technically I think it has a 29.5 oz capacity... The flip size of the width is it increases surface area so more aromas come out... Kind of like a handheld decanter or large brandy snifter...
