    Yes I've (now) had that!

It's like drinking an espresso, a full glass of espresso... Okay it's actually better than that. Deep, dark chocolates, coffee, fruits (maybe prune or dates), and vanilla explode on the palate!

This is about as black as I've ever seen a beer. The head is a dark red/brown that clumps in circular groups above the beer (almost looks like mold, but it ain't!). It appears to be oily, as the foam glistens like soap suds laying on the beer. A very complex treat that I wouldn't mind aging for a year or so.

    I've had that!

You can eat this beer with a spoon. So thick and rich it's incredible. This rare beer has a super long finish and complex flavors of espresso, dark chocolate, and malt.

    Awesome stuff.

How does it compare to Left Hand or Ten Fidy?

Think of it like a condensed version of Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout.

I haven't had Ten Fidy but I would say it is much more complex than Wake Up Dead - although not velvety smooth because it's not nitro. It's much more of a sipper, and way more espresso flavors as opposed to WUD which seemed to have more chocolate.

    Ok...I've Had That!!

Wow...espresso is right!...Dark, dark, dark espresso and powdery dry dark chocolate...uummmmm umm good!
MJ watched me pour it and said it looked like oil...she was absolutely right on. An almost chalky mouthfeel greets me with every sip, and sip I must...as it warms to room temp the alcohol becomes more apparent. I think the Pinot Noir Barrels are key here...subtle yet powerful! Paired it with a Padilla 1932...wonderful!

A bomber is that jacket you used to wear when you thought you were cool. .. No it's a much larger size bottle. It's a true pint of liquid.
